Operational Technology

The Industrial Control Systems Community of Interest (ICS COI) is a UK community created to share knowledge to enhance the security and safety of the UK CNI. It is formed by interested individuals drawn from the NCSC, industry practitioners and asset owners, ICS vendors and security researchers, local government departments, regulators, and academia. It is managed by a steering committee that agrees on membership, sets direction, and fosters wider collaboration.

Although its focus is on providing guidance against specific problem statements it also promotes awareness among those new to the subject with a genuine interest in becoming involved. We encourage applications from both experts in their field and those wanting to learn more about OT. This way, we can bridge the skills gap that currently exists while also promoting diverse conversations, with everyone’s voice heard and their views acknowledged.

ICS COI current membership is over 500 from all sectors and experience levels. We offer regular “Lunch & Learn” sessions on specific subjects to further promote awareness, conversation, and collaboration.
