Certified Consultancy

Certified Cyber Security Consultancy gives customers independent, expert cyber security advice from a pool of certified professional service providers. It is aimed at providing government, wider public sector and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) with support on a wide and complex range of cyber security issues.

Consultancies who become certified have proof that the services they deliver meet the NCSC's standard for high quality, tailored cyber security advice.

Consultancy for customers

Cyber security is a broad and complex subject area and not every consultancy will be able to satisfy all of the cyber security challenges you face. As a prospective user of a certified consultancy you need to consider which services you need. We have provided some additional information on what to consider when selecting a certified consultancy.

Procuring consultancy services

The procurement route for government, wider public sector and CNI differ slightly. The NCSC has worked in partnership with Crown Commercial Services (CCS) to establish a central route to procure Certified Consultancy services for the public sector. Full details on using the Cyber Security Service agreement to invite suppliers to a mini competition tender can be found on the CSS website

CNI customers should contact their chosen certified consultancy directly.

Information for potential consultancies

Certified Cyber Consultancy is designed to suit companies of all sizes. The evidence companies are required to provide in order to become certified is proportionate to the size of the company and the consultancy team.

Before completing any paperwork potential consultancies should register for a mandatory briefing by using the Contact us form to send your contact details to the Certified Cyber Security Consultancy team.  Potential consultancies should make sure they read the Professional Cyber Services Application form and the Cyber Security Consultancy Standard. You'll be sent the application form to complete following the briefing - the one here is for information only.
