Clare was admitted as a solicitor in 2004 and worked for a number of years in private practice. Clare’s experience in the private sector focussed on corporate and commercial law, working in the UK and overseas for two global law firms. Clare joined the Government Legal Profession as a senior legal adviser in 2018 and has spent 7 years working for the NCSC advising on cyber incidents, cyber regulation, data protection, economic security and emerging technology.
Clare was appointed as head of the legal team in 2023 and is responsible for the management of legal risk at the NCSC.
