Managing information risk in a changing world
Where: College of Policing, Leamington Road, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Coventry CV8 3EN
When: 02 November 2016 to 03 November 2016
SUAC 2016 is a continuous professional development event for accreditors, and for all those involved in information risk management in government and the wider public sector.
The event retains the name which recognises its origins as an annual event run as part of the National School of Government — an event which was based in Sunningdale and open to government accreditors.
SUAC 2016 is primarily organised for accreditors and information risk managers employed in public service. Contractors working in information risk are also welcome, subject to availability of spaces.
The Accreditation Specialism Advisory Group (ASAG) are coordinating this event. Their membership is drawn from experienced accreditors working in government and the wider public sector. It is chaired by the Head of Specialism for Accreditation. If you would like to participate in ASAG, please do get in touch — we welcome willing volunteers.
The programme is in the early stages of planning. It will include an up to date briefing on the changes to security announced by Cabinet Office and, in particular, the proposals as to how this will affect existing accreditation practices. The latter is currently under development by ASAG and the event will give the opportunity for this to be discussed in much more detail.
A variety of other topical briefings is planned, not least how the community will engage with colleagues in the newly launched National Cyber Security Centre.
A more detailed programme will be released in due course. Please book soon to avoid disappointment!
