This week the three newest Knowledge Areas (KAs) have been released for public review and comment. It has been a couple of months since the last KAs were announced but the CyBOK project team has been continuing work on the development of the draft Knowledge Areas.
These latest KAs are Physical Layer and Telecommunications Security, Malware, and Cyber-Physical Systems Security and the public consultation period is open until Monday 18th February 2019. The CyBOK website has all the details on how to send your feedback in.
If you need a reminder about what the project is, CyBOK is funded by the National Cyber Security Programme to develop a comprehensive body of knowledge to inform and underpin education and professional training for the cyber security sector. Professor Awais Rashid of Bristol University is leading the project with world-leading cyber security experts. The four completed Knowledge Areas: Cryptography, Software Security, Network Security and Security Operations and Incident Management can be found on the CyBOK website.
More KAs are due for release during early 2019, so keep an eye out for details of those Knowledge Areas that interest you the most.
This is your opportunity to help the development of the KAs, and contribute to a unique resource of cyber security knowledge for the national and international cyber security community and for future cyber security professionals.
