About NCSC-approved evaluation partners and how to become one.

'Evaluation partners' are test laboratories and companies we have approved to carry out various evaluations and assessments on our behalf.

Note that Certification Bodies for the Certified Professional scheme and GCHQ Certified Training were appointed via a closed procurement process.

Essential requirements

To carry out CPA and CC evaluations and CTAS and CAS assessments your company must:

  • get ISO 17025 accreditation against the Test Laboratory General Operational Requirements
  • get the NCSC's approval that you meet the additional scheme specific requirements in the above document
  • successfully complete a trial assessment or evaluation for your chosen scheme
  • sign the appropriate contract for your chosen scheme
  • pay the appropriate fees

To apply 

  1. Complete the Test Lab Application Questionnaire (doc) part 1 and send it to the NCSC Enquiries team, at the address detailed in the questionnaire.
  2. Meet the NCSC representative.
  3. Complete partial ISO17025 accreditation against Test Laboratory General Operational Requirements.
  4. Complete the Test Lab Application Questionnaire (doc) part 2 and email to the appropriate scheme.
  5. Sign the contract.
  6. Pay the annual registration fee.
  7. We assign Provisional Test Lab status and the lab details are added to our website.
  8. Complete the trial assessment or evaluation for the appropriate scheme.
  9. Accreditation body is informed that the trial test has been successfully completed.
  10. Full ISO17025 awarded by the accreditation body.
  11. We award full lab status and our website is updated.
